Pear Tepache Prosecco Cocktail Recipe

I’ve been reading the Artist’s Way this past month, and wow, has it pushed me out of my comfort zone. If you’re a creative or someone that loves to tap into your creativity but at times find that you feel like you’re an imposture, then I’d highly recommend the book. It’s taught me that creativity is a gift that every one of us deserves to tap into and that we are all creative. Not just the amazing songwriters, artists, designers, and NY Times bestseller authors — all of us.

Anyways, it’s allowed me to give myself permission to experiment more in the kitchen and try new things (like this recipe). In the past, I always told myself, “you’re not a food blogger — why are you trying to share your recipes?” It’s helped me get past the little voice in my head that is filled with doubt.

Okay, okay, you didn’t come here listen to my creative awakening, so I’ll get to the recipe! But I will say, if there is something in the creative space you want to do but feel like you’re not good enough — please, please give it a try. It’ll be worth it. I promise.

Recently Big Easy Kombucha reached out and asked me if I wanted to try their new probiotic drink, Tepache. I love a good kombucha and have been trying to incorporate more gut-healthy bacteria into my diet, so they reached out in perfect timing. Although I love the Tepache alone, it’s also delicious mixed with Prosecco (I mean, what isn’t delicious with Prosecco).

I had a lot of fun experimenting with this recipe and leaning on a few recipes I found online but added my own twist to it! I’m definitely not an expert bartender or cocktail maker but had to pat myself on the back for how delicious this one. Definitely worth trying! The addition of cinnamon makes it feel very festive as well.

tepache cocktail pear lime

PEAR TEPACHE PROSECCO COCKTAIL

1.5 ounces of Cointreau

Juice of 1 lime

3 ounces of Picky Pear Tepache by Big Easy

Prosecco to top (as much or little as you like)

1-2 sprigs of rosemary

1 cinnamon stick

A handful of ice cubes

Combine all of your liquids — Cointreau, lime juice, tepache, and prosecco. Then top with rosemary and your cinnamon stick and stir (or shake) until combined. Mix in your ice-cubes and serve immediately.

Please let me know if you try this! It’s one of my favs, and it’s so delicious.
