Healthy, Post-workout Smoothie

After a HIIT work out or hard run, my appetite typically is ruined for the next 1 hour or so, but I know how dangerous it can be to wait too long after a workout to eat. So, I like to opt for a fresh smoothie -- especially when nothing else is sounding satisfying.



Today I am sharing with you my Post Workout Smoothie. Depending on the season, there might be different types of fruit, but for the most part this recipe stays the same each time. Plus, it's a great way to add additional veggies into your day and vitamins.

Post Workout Smoothie

1 cup of orange juice
1/2 cup of frozen fruit
2 handfuls of fresh spinach
1 tbs chia seeds
1 banana
Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth -- add more liquid as needed. Enjoy!
