Skin Care: Acne Solutions
If you're one of those super fortunate people that has perfect skin, this likely doesn't apply to you. However, if you're like me, and you've tried product after product to help calm your sensitive, acne prone skin with little to no success, than keep reading!
I have constantly struggled with my skin since I was in middle school. Still not quite sure how I survived that awkward stage with frizzy hair and Abercrombie hoodies. If only I had these products 10+ years ago, I think it would of saved many bad make-up days trying to cover blemishes and feeling conscious. Nonetheless, Proactive was the only solution back in the day, and Jessica Simpson just didn't quite sell me on the fact that was the only product that solved her acne woes.
Today I am sharing with you my absolute favorite products that have done wonders on my skin. They are a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way and well worth it for the results you'll see.
1.) Kate Somerville Acne Clearing Lotion: This is my Holy Grail skin care product. I have been using this product for about 4 months now, and I can't say enough how amazing it has been. Typically, I apply 2x a day depending on how my skin is doing, although the bottle recommends up to 3x a day, I imagine that would irritate my skin, but you do you. What I love about this product is that when I apply at night, by morning my blemishes are practically gone and my skin shows no signs of irritation. Before using this product, my t-zone would become extremely oily throughout the day, and now I can go the whole day without a shiny face. It's a miracle worker.
2.) Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads: This product was introduce to me by a Sephora Employee who raved about how it calmed her cystic acne. Last year I was using it consistently, then I ran out and never went back to get more. More recently, I purchased again because my skin was being crazy. This in combination with Kate Somerville's Lotion cleared up my skin in just a few days. I imagine if I used these pads daily, I would hardly ever see a breakout. However, I tend to reach for them only when necessary. Plus, you can cut them in half and they work just as well!
