24 Hours at White Water Cambria
Cambria is a charming coastal town off California's beautiful Highway 1. It's a wonderful destination for those looking for a relaxing getaway. During our recent trip to Cambria, we stayed one night at the White Water Cambria hotel; which was the perfect stop on our way back from Santa Barbara to San Francisco.
Once we arrived at the White Water Cambria hotel, we were immediately struck by the stunning ocean views. The hotel is located right on the coast, offering guests breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, making check-in a breeze.
One of the highlights of our stay in Cambria was dining at Cow Tipper. This cozy restaurant is just a short bike ride (which the hotel provides complimentary bikes) or a walk from White Water Inn, and serves delicious comfort food. The menu features classic American dishes like burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Michael and I enjoyed the signature Cow Tipper Burger, which was cooked to perfection and topped with all the fixings.
After dinner, we went back to the hotel to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset. The bar in the lobby had lots of local wines to choose from, and we were thrilled when we saw Scribe’s Pinot Noir on the menu.
The hotel's onsite restaurant, White Water, offers an impressive selection of fun bites and a stunning outdoor patio with panoramic ocean views. We enjoyed getting to watch the sunset while enjoying our wine and snacks before heading to our room.
The next morning, we woke up early to run along the trails close to the hotel property. The trails wind through the stunning coastal landscape and aren’t crowded at all. It was the perfect way to start the day before another 3+ hours of travel back to the city.
Our stay at the White Water Cambria hotel was a wonderful experience. The hotel's location on the coast provides unbeatable ocean views, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend dining at Cow Tipper and enjoying a glass of wine at White Water while watching the sunset. While we didn’t get to surf this time around, it’s located right next to a spot perfect for beginners. And if you're looking for some outdoor activity, the trails close to the hotel are a great option for a morning run or hike. We can't wait to visit Cambria and the White Water Cambria hotel again soon.
